FREE TRAINING IN ECO-DESIGN

London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) is offering free training in Eco-design to small-to-medium businesses serving the construction sector in the London area. The format of the training is a single two-hour session on your premises.

Eco-design is a way of looking at the life-cycle of a product that can bring business and environmental benefits. The topics considered include raw materials, resource and energy use, distribution and waste. In the training session, we ask a few questions about your business; outline the principles of Eco-design; ask you to choose one of your products which we then consider in detail from the perspective of eco-design; and finish by summarising where the product is and what the next steps to improvement could be. We provide a resource pack with sources of further information. More details are available here.

Training dates in October and November are available.

As the training is free, short and targeted to your business, we hope it will be of use to you.
For more information or to book a visit contact Marta Zanfrini, International Business Executive, E: mzanfrini@londonchamber.co.uk  or T: +44 (0)20 7203 1822.

NETWORKING TRAINING: HOW TO WORK A ROOM

Hate the thought of networking? Want to learn how to network on your own terms?

Walking into a room full of strangers can be daunting for most people - even 'seasoned' networkers! For many people, the fear of networking at events stops them attending or has them standing at the edge of the room not knowing what to do and therefore missing out on expanding their number of business contacts and raising their profile and the profile of their business.

Our 'how to work a room' surgery aims to remove some of these barriers to networking by providing some focus for attending events, examining the 'risks' involved, as well as how to reduce and manage them and improving confidence with some practical tools and tips.

NETWORKING TRAINING: HOW TO WORK A ROOM

Hate the thought of networking? Want to learn how to network on your own terms?

Walking into a room full of strangers can be daunting for most people - even 'seasoned' networkers! Our 'how to work a room' surgery aims to remove some of these barriers to networking by providing some focus for attending events, examining the 'risks' involved, as well as how to reduce and manage them and improving confidence with some practical tools and tips.
