The London Chamber of Commerce award-winning events programme includes over 200 events each year and caters for every person and business.   Whether you are looking for training, networking, briefings on topical issues, or want to entertain clients, we have an event for you and your business.  Many events  are exclusive to members, many are free to members or are offered at significantly discounted rates, and all include the opportunity for networking.

 How to book your place(s) at a London Chamber of Commerce event

  • Select the events you want to attend from the events calendar below
  • For ticket fee events use our online booking facility or complete a booking form and fax or post it to us with your payment. All prices are inclusive of VAT and full payment must be received to secure bookings
  • For free events book by following the instructions under each event entry in the calendar below
  • Bookings for all events are taken on a first-come first-served basis
  • You must pre-book your place at all London Chamber of Commerce events (both complimentary and ticket fee events)
  • NB: our online booking system is unable to accept payment via AMEX.  Payment via AMEX can be made by completing an event booking form including your card details and sending to the Events Team.  This will be processed manually by London Chamber of Commerce

Guest speaker Sir Edward Lister, Mayor's Chief of Staff and Deputy Mayor, Policy and Planning, Greater London Authority

Sir Edward Lister was appointed Chief of Staff and Deputy Mayor for Policy and Planning by the Mayor of London in May 2011. In this role he co-ordinates implementation of the Mayor's priorities, strategy and policy work, and activities by the Mayoral Team.  Sir Edward advises the Mayor on strategic planning applications and has oversight of the London Plan and Community Infrastructure Levy. He delivers the Mayor's jobs and growth agenda in this area.

Prior to coming to City Hall, Sir Edward served as leader of Wandsworth Council from 1992 to 2011. As the longest serving council leader in the country, he made Wandsworth the most successful value for money local authority in the country with the country's lowest council tax charge and top satisfaction ratings from its residents (Place Survey 2009).

Industries classified as services now contribute more to the UK economy than any other industry. Over time, their contribution has increased from an estimated 46% in 1948 to 78% in 2012.

However, the majority of UK service providers find it difficult to export their service.

DOING BUSINESS IN ZIMBABWE WITH HER MAJESTY'S AMBASSADOR, CATRIONA LAING

TRADE MISSION TO MOZAMBIQUE


Mozambique is receiving growing interest following its energy boom in recent years. This scoping mission will enable the delegates to see the realities of doing business in Mozambique. The mission will be split into two group and follow two short programmes.

Programme one will be specific to the energy sector. This is for companies involved in oil and gas, energy equipment and services for power generation, transmission and distribution, energy efficiency and education and training.

    London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) is working together with the Arab British Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) to hold a Trade Mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The mission will visit key cities Riyadh and Jeddah and offer opportunities for delegates to meet with government officials, business leaders, and key stakeholders.

    INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS TRAINING: LETTERS OF CREDIT


    A one-day practical workshop aimed at exporting companies which regularly receive or handle Letters of Credit (L/Cs). The session will assist companies to negotiate the most favourable terms for L/Cs, as well as to reduce the risks and costs associated with presenting documents to the bank.

    On completing the course, delegates will know how to select the best terms of payment and how best to achieve them.  They will also be aware of the cost and cash flow implications of different methods of payment.
