How to book your place(s) at a London Chamber of Commerce event

  • Select the events you want to attend from the events calendar below
  • For ticket fee events use our online booking facility or complete a booking form and fax or post it to us with your payment. All prices are inclusive of VAT and full payment must be received to secure bookings
  • For free events book by following the instructions under each event entry in the calendar below
  • Bookings for all events are taken on a first-come first-served basis
  • You must pre-book your place at all London Chamber of Commerce events (both complimentary and ticket fee events)
  • NB: our online booking system is unable to accept payment via AMEX.  Payment via AMEX can be made by completing an event booking form including your card details and sending to the Events Team.  This will be processed manually by London Chamber of Commerce

TIME TO TALK BUSINESS

On 4th June 1442 William Waynflete founded Eton College. On 6th June 1944 (D Day) the Normandy Landings to free mainland Europe commenced.  Sandwiched between 4 and 6 we now have Time To Talk Business networking at DeVere Venues Canary Wharf on Wednesday 5 June 2013.

The magnificent reception lobby to this building at 1 Westferry Circus promises a smart but business like environment within. Which is indeed the case. The DeVere Group has hosted many DBC/ELCC events over the past decade. These include a Summer  Barbecue, Speaker Briefings, Management Workshops, Export Seminars, a presentation by the Royal Navy and of course, Time To Talk Business networking.

So we know they know what we need and will look after us accordingly including a welcoming drink and enticing eats.

INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS TRAINING - LETTER OF CREDIT

A one-day practical workshop aimed at exporting companies who regularly receive or handle Letters of Credit (L/Cs). The session will assist companies to negotiate the most favourable terms for L/Cs, as well as helping then to reduce the risks and costs associated with presenting documents to the bank.

On completing the course, delegates will know how to select the best terms of payment and how best to achieve them.  They will also be aware of the cost and cash flow implications of different methods of payment.

The course is suitable for everyone involved in handling L/Cs i.e. export sales, project teams, export managers, administrators, finance teams, shipping and customer service personnel.

OUT OF TOWN NETWORKING LUNCH

NETWORKING TRAINING: HOW TO WORK A ROOM

Hate the thought of networking?  Want to learn how to network on your own terms?

Walking into a room full of strangers can be daunting for most people - even 'seasoned' networkers!  For many people the fear of networking at events stops them attending or has them standing at the edge of the room not knowing what to do and therefore missing out on expanding their number of business contacts and raising their profile and the profile of their business.

Our 'how to work a room' surgery aims to remove some of these barriers to networking by providing some focus for attending events, examining the 'risks' involved, as well as how to reduce and manage them and improving confidence with some practical tools and tips.
