Lunch and Learn: It's the End of the World as We Know it!
Presented by: Jim N R Dale, Senior Meteorological & Climatological Consultant, Published Author, Media Commentator, Educational Tutor/Mentor
Climate change: Crisis and Opportunity. What we face due to fossil-fuelled climate change is literally the end of the world as we know it—but that colossal shift carries two distinct meanings.
Our planet is accelerating toward cascading extreme weather events. These crises will test our infrastructure, communities, and businesses to the absolute limit. More devastating catastrophes are inevitable, and we must be prepared.
This in-part interactive webinar goes beyond the theory. Attendees will participate in live, critical scenario-planning, answering the vital question: "What would you do in certain extreme situations?"
- Survival and Safety: Critical steps for immediate adaptation and mitigation
- The New Economy: The vast business and economic opportunities emerging as the old world makes way for the new.

About the Speaker
Jim N R Dale, Senior Meteorological & Climatological Consultant, Published Author, Media Commentator, Educational Tutor/Mentor
Formally trained in the Royal Navy’s Fleet Air Arm, I founded British Weather Services in 1987. For nearly four decades, I have helped a diverse range of climate-sensitive companies navigate complex meteorological requirements. My work ensures organisations effectively manage weather impacts while building robust strategies for climate change preparation, mitigation, adaptation, and survival. As an established author, I have published Weather or Not? and Surviving Extreme Weather, with my third book, Trading the Skies, currently in development. Beyond my books, I regularly write features for major media outlets and provide expert commentary and debate across global media channels.
