Property and Construction Club Networking and Briefing

The London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Property and Construction Networking Club is a series of briefings designed to help Members connect with senior industry figures, promote their business to a targeted sector and keep up-to-date with trends and developments in a relaxed setting.  Attendees will enjoy refreshments and a light lunch whilst networking with up to 50 professionals from within the industry and other companies interested in the sector.

Guests will then hear from, and have the opportunity to put their questions to, our guest speaker Deborah Heenan, Chief Executive Officer, Populo Living – Newham council’s wholly-owned housing company. 

Discussions will likely include:
•    Populo Living’s vision
•    Current projects including the £1bn regeneration project of the Carpenter Estate
•    Current challenges and opportunities affecting the industry e.g. tackling the housing crisis and retrofitting homes to help tackle the climate emergency

About our Guest Speaker
Deborah is the Chief Executive Officer of Populo Living, building new homes in Newham, East London, on behalf of Newham Council. Newham is one of London’s most exciting, diverse and fastest growing boroughs; Deborah and the Populo Living team are committed to providing more homes that are affordable and high-quality places that will stand the test of time. Her career ranges from Strategy Director for a major residential developer, to advising the former PM on Housing Policy, to delivering large scale residential schemes directly. Deb is also a Professor of Practice at the University of Wales, Trinity St David.
