Policy & Lobbying work

We are the capital’s critical commercial and policy connector. We lobby the government on related issues such as energy prices and the impact the cost of living crisis is having for businesses, particularly SMEs. At all times we seek to positively influence policy, legislation and regulation at local and national levels, with regular engagement with key stakeholders in City Hall, local government, Parliament and Whitehall.

Chamber Finance Finder with new bills tracking tool

LCCI Members and Community Network participants can register for free and be matched to funding opportunities, including grants for innovation and progress towards Net Zero, VAT loans and invoice finance alongside traditional loans and asset finance. Members can also have access to a bills tracking tool, where they can upload energy bills and check if there are savings to be made.

Help for Households is an information hub for consumers to view available support and get advice on managing the rise in costs. LCCI has worked with the Government, who have set up a website where businesses can promote any offers they are providing to help customers financially during this difficult period.

We have a free expert advice line, open 365 days a year, plus a knowledge hub and substantial document library of over 750 free downloadable template documents covering employment, health and safety, tax, VAT and legal matters.
