Due diligence in International Trade

Date

Time

10.00am - 11.00am

Overview

Whether you are new to international trade or a seasoned veteran, international trade is a complex and demanding process.

How financially healthy is your seller/buyer? How do you check? What should you look for? What is their corporate structure? Do they meet legal requirements? Are they operationally capable of meeting your business’s requirements? Do they meet your standards such as ethics and environmental concerns? Do you need to check your standing within the international trade arena such as your social media posts? Is your company reputation sound?

These are just some of the due diligence questions you should be asking and answering.

Join the London Chamber and our Trusted Trainers, International Trade Matters Ltd, in this webinar collaboration where trade expert, Linda Middleton-Jones, will guide you through the 4 due diligence areas you should be aware of and how great due diligence will help you reduce risk, enable you to look after your business’s best interests and aid in building and maintaining good relationships with your sellers/buyers.

The Windsor Agreement

Date

Time

10.00am - 11.00am

Overview

On 27 February 2023 the UK and EU agreed the Windsor Framework, providing a fundamentally new set of arrangements to restore the smooth flow of trade within the UK internal market; safeguard Northern Ireland’s place in the Union; and address the democratic deficit that was otherwise at the heart of the original Northern Ireland Protocol.

We are delighted that Stuart Anderson, Director of Public Affairs, Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce will be speaking at this practical webinar for exporters. Stuart will explain the rules and highlight the changes that exporters need to know. There will also be the opportunity for you to ask your questions.

Stuart leads NI Chamber’s direct interactions with politicians, helping to shape the legislative agenda and supporting elected representatives to create the right conditions for business and economic growth. He works directly with NI Chamber members in all sectors, identifying their challenges and bringing forward their ideas as part of a collaborative approach between industry and policy makers. A qualified lawyer, he is also the current Convenor of the Northern Ireland Business Brexit Working Group.
