Insider Risk: Understanding and Reducing the Threat from Within

Date

Time

12.00pm - 12.45pm

Venue

GoTo Webinar - A link will be distributed to all registrants

Overview

Presented by:  Richard C Pendry, Managing Director, The Risk Consultancy
Insider risk – the threat posed by people inside your organisation – is one of the most underestimated dangers in business today. In fact, up to 30% of business failures are linked to internal threats such as fraud, data leaks, sabotage, and reputational damage caused by employees, contractors, or trusted partners.

In this fast-paced and practical session, we’ll unpack the concept of insider risk and explore why it matters to organisations of all sizes – not just large corporates or government bodies.

Attendees will learn about:

  • What insider risk looks like in real-world settings – including subtle, non-malicious threats
  • Why employees you trust can unintentionally (or deliberately) cause harm
  • How insider incidents evolve – and how to spot warning signs early
  • Simple, practical steps to reduce risk and strengthen internal security

Drawing from real examples and expert insight, this session will equip you with actionable knowledge to protect your organisation’s people, data, and future. It’s a must-attend for business owners, HR professionals, compliance leads and managers who want to stay ahead of one of the most common causes of organisational failure.

Richard is a leading expert in organisational resilience, risk mitigation, and crisis management. As Principal Consultant at The Risk Consultancy, he helps businesses across sectors anticipate threats, protect assets, and maintain continuity in complex environments.
