LCCI Joins the Great British Beach Clean

As part of the Great British Beach Clean initiative, members of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) gathered at Queenhithe Beach to take part in a community-led effort to remove waste and support marine conservation.

The clean-up activity was not only a practical contribution to environmental sustainability but also formed part of a wider data collection effort. During the event, participants conducted a litter survey to document the types and quantities of waste collected. This data will be submitted to the Marine Conservation Society, helping to inform their ongoing campaign for policy change and improved protection of our coastal environments.

In total, the team successfully removed 19.7 kilograms of waste and plastic from the beach, contributing to the health and cleanliness of London’s riverside spaces.
