LCCI Patron Member Roundtable with James Carroll, Prime Minister's Special Adviser for Business Relations

LCCI Patron Member Roundtable with James Carroll, Prime Minister's Special Adviser for Business Relations, Number 10 Business Investment and Trade Unit.

This morning, LCCI Chief Executive Karim Fathehi OBE hosted a Patron Member roundtable breakfast where we were pleased to welcome James Carroll, Prime Minister's Special Adviser for Business Relations, Number 10 Business Investment and Trade Unit, as our guest speaker.

In his role, James plays a pivotal part in shaping the government’s engagement with the business community, advising the Prime Minister on business relations and working closely with colleagues across the Business, Trade, and Investment Unit within 10 Downing Street.

The roundtable discussion, where we were joined by senior leaders from across our membership, explored the most pressing issues facing the London business community. The conversation focused on how Government can help unlock growth, drive competitiveness and strengthen business confidence.

James shared valuable insights into how the Government collaborates with the business community, while attendees offered their candid perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing their sectors at a crucial moment for both the UK economy and London’s wider business ecosystem.

Skills, infrastructure and the importance of supporting small businesses emerged as central themes throughout the discussion. Thank you to James and to all those who attended for such a constructive and engaging discussion.
