LCCI response to government's aviation policy procrastination

Colin Stanbridge, Chief Executive of London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) said: "LCCI is disappointed that government has declined the opportunity to take bold steps to boost airport capacity in the immediate short term.

"London and UK are under competitive pressure from EU cities in the race to compete for access to far off markets.

"Every day of delay in seizing new opportunities to gain capacity at London airports does nothing to strengthen links to Asia, Africa and the Americas.

"We are now told to wait again on decisions about aviation. Waiting may be convenient for ministers but it not helpful for business and commerce."
