LCCI welcome furlough funding extension

Reacting to news that the Government has extended funding for the furlough scheme to the end of June, with monthly review thereafter, Richard Burge, LCCI's CEO, said:

“Businesses thank the Chancellor for rapidly acting upon their call for business funding clarity beyond May.

A monthly review is also welcome, but needs to be conducted in good time so that employers are not on a monthly cliff edge of redundancy consultation."
