James Watkins is the Head of Policy and Public Impact at the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He was the Political Adviser to the Japanese Government based at the Embassy of Japan in London and he has also supported a number of Parliamentarians. He was previously the Chief Executive of national and regional business groups. James is the author of ‘Islamic Finance and Global Capitalism’ and ‘Religion and the Global Money Markets’ as published by Palgrave Macmillan. James is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Sciences, member of the Institute of Economic Development and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and has gained a Masters in Asia-Pacific studies from the University of Leeds.
