ATA Carnet - Your Passport for Goods

Overview

Widely known as “passport for goods”, ATA Carnets are international customs documents that permit the duty and tax-free temporary importation of non-perishable goods for up to 12 months into countries subscribed to the ATA Carnet scheme.

This online course is ideal for companies and sole traders who are looking to ease their temporary export/import procedures of non-perishable commercial goods taken overseas on a temporary basis to be used at events of a commercial nature, such as sports events, exhibitions, trade fairs, or to be used as commercial samples or professional equipment.

Customs Procedures and Documentation

Overview

This introduction course is aimed at anyone involved in international trade who needs to understand customs. The course will cover the role of HMRC and practicalities such as goods wholly produced in the UK, use of documentation including the EUR1, free circulation, AEO, VAT responsibilities, and the impact of Incoterms®. The course also provides an introduction to customs entries, classification of goods, valuation of goods on import duties, taxes and the Union Customs Code (UCC).

With guest speaker Dr Barbara Marino, Development Director – London & Commercial, Keltbray

Join us for the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Property and Construction Networking Club. Attendees will enjoy refreshments and a light lunch whilst networking with up to 50 professionals from within the industry and other companies interested in the sector.

Guests will then hear from, and have the opportunity to put their questions to, Dr Barbara Marino, Development Director – London & Commercial, Keltbray – a key player in developing and maintaining Britain’s built environment.

Discussions are likely to include Keltbray’s London projects, sustainability initiatives, as well as Barbara’s thoughts on the current challenges and opportunities affecting the industry.
