Event Spotlight: Digital ATA Carnets – Get ready for the 2026 eATA transition

Widely known as “passport for goods”, ATA Carnets are international customs documents that permit the duty and tax-free temporary importation of non-perishable goods for up to 12 months into countries subscribed to the ATA Carnet scheme. The eATA Carnet project aims to digitalise ATA Carnets and their lifecycle management process, from issuance and declarations to transactions and claims.The transition will kick-off on 1 June 2026 starting with the EU, Norway, Switzerland and the UK.
