LCCI call on Mayor to act on skills shortages and trade opportunities

In our latest submission to City Hall, LCCI called on the Mayor to address London’s skills shortages and promote new trade opportunities to safeguard London’s economy.

Responding to the Mayor of London’s draft Economic Development Strategy, LCCI supported the full devolution of skills responsibilities and more support for SMEs looking to tap export opportunities in both new and established markets. To ensure London is ready for ‘megacity’ status, we also backed a bold strategy of fiscal devolution for the capital, one that will maximise local growth incentives and support large scale infrastructure projects.
