LCCI Supports the Launch of the UK–Panama Business Guide

Tuesday 15 July 2026

It was a pleasure to support the official launch of the UK–Panama Business Guide at the Embassy of Panama in the United Kingdom, following the recent visit from His Excellency Guido J. Martinelli III, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Panama to the United Kingdom, and Isabella Zebede, Commercial Attaché at the Embassy of Panama in the United Kingdom.

Representing LCCI, our Business Development Director, Patrick Angell, was delighted to attend this important occasion, which highlights the growing relationship between the UK and Panama and the exciting opportunities ahead for businesses in both markets.

The guide provides valuable insights and practical information for organisations looking to explore trade, investment and partnership opportunities between our two countries. We were pleased to hear contributions from the Ambassador, Craig Smith, International Trade & Markets Advisor at Doing Business Group, Farah London DStG, Founder & CEO, bizNis International  and Lesley Batchelor CBE, Co-Founder, Export Angels.

Discussions reinforced the significant potential for deeper collaboration. Panama’s position as a strategic gateway to Latin America, combined with the UK's strengths in finance, technology, infrastructure, education, and professional services, creates a strong platform for increased trade, investment and sustainable economic growth.

We look forward to strengthening our relationship with the Embassy of Panama and growing UK–Panama business connections.
