LCCI welcomes Brexit breakthrough but warns the hard work starts now

Responding to the news that the UK government and the European Commission have reached a deal to conclude the first phase of the Brexit negotiations, Chief Executive of London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Colin Stanbridge said: “News of a breakthrough will be welcomed by the business community but the tough part starts now.

“Trade talks must now address future access arrangement at ports and other points of entry for goods as well as ensuring a realistic transitional period for business thereby avoiding a cliff edge.”
