London Named World’s Best City for 2026: A Global Leader in Business, Culture and Opportunity for 11 Consecutive Years

London Eye

London has once again been named the World’s Best City for 2026, taking the top spot for the eleventh year in a row. The annual World’s Best Cities report is widely considered one of the most comprehensive global city rankings, and this accolade highlights the capital’s exceptional strengths in travel, tourism, business, culture, and long-term economic opportunity.

A World-Leading City in Prosperity, Connectivity and Talent

Among the 34 subcategories used to determine the report’s ranking, London achieved some phenomenal results:

  • 1st in Prosperity, driven by the city’s major airports, thriving business ecosystem and global corporate presence.
  • 2nd in Lovability, reflecting London’s reputation as a vibrant, cultural and visitor-friendly city.
  • 3rd in Liveability, recognising continued investment and growth in infrastructure, public amenities and quality of life.

This comes as no surprise to us here at the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), as we see the many factors behind this success every single day. The city boasts exceptional talent, world-class transport links and an environment perfect for business, trade and investment that truly situates London as a global hub for business and culture.
