LCCI welcome contact tracing app launch

Friday 11 September

Welcoming the national launch of a Covid-19 contact tracing app being set for September 24th, Richard Burge, Chief Executive, London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said:

“I’m pleased to see that a contact tracing app is ready for launch and I urge businesses and employees to download it.

“For populous areas like London this is not only important for helping to manage Covid-19 transmission, including businesses needing to record customer details, but it will aid confidence for consumers and employees when navigating the city.

“It now becomes all the more imperative that the Government get a grip on the Test and Trace system, which is failing to hold up to demand at this stage.”
