LCCI welcome withdrawal of City Hall objections to London City Airport Expansion

Following the news that new Mayor Sadiq Khan has withdrawn City Hall objections to the airport buying land needed for expansion from the GLA, London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has welcomed the decision as beneficial in the short term.

LCCI Chief Executive, Colin Standbridge said : "London City Airport has the potential to increase capacity in the short term so this move is certainly a step in the right direction but must not deter the Government from making a decision about airport expansion in the South -East - especially in light of Heathrow's announcement today."
