LCCI wishes farewell to Andy Byford

Thursday 22 September 2022

Richard Burge, Chief Executive of London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), said
: “Following the news that Andy Byford is leaving his position as London’s Transport Commissioner, we would like to take the opportunity to thank Andy for all he has achieved in leading TfL through what has been a uniquely turbulent and unpredictable period. Andy has worked incredibly hard to deliver the opening of the Elizabeth Line without further delay and to navigate TfL through the hardships of a post-pandemic world. Not only this, Andy has also succeeded in ensuring TfL reached a long-term funding deal with the government which has allowed businesses to breathe a sigh of relief and will guarantee the services of London’s essential transport network for the next few years. His dedication and commitment have been outstanding and we wish him the very best for his move back to the United States.”
