London Chamber welcomes more engagement with business community in Queen's Speech

Commenting on the Queen's Speech, Chief Executive of London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Colin Stanbridge said: "We welcome the Government's intension to intensify engagement with the business community, whose experience and insight will be vital.

"We look forward to details on the immigration, trade and customs bills - it is essential that we get these right as the future of so many businesses especially in London depend upon what these do or do not contain.

"On the domestic front, while HS2 rightly needs to be progressed, there is a clear and strong case for Crossrail Two being moved to the next stage - not least as it would underpin the effectiveness of HS2. We hope Ministers will Crossrail Two reference in the debate following the Queen's Speech".
