At last – the Lady Mayor’s Show!
On the first Saturday of last November, Susan Langley DBE made the traditional, historic journey around the City of London in a procession which featured seven thousand participants, 250 horses, over 100 floats or marching groups, and tens of thousands of spectators. For the first time ever, this was officially billed as The Lady Mayor’s Show.
Partners in Prosperity
LCCI Chief Executive Karim Fatehi OBE was a speaker at the World Chambers Congress which took place in September in Melbourne, Australia. The event united more than 1,000 business, chamber and government leaders from 100 countries and was the fourteenth congress in the series which began in Marseilles in 1999.
College Garden Party
Westminster Abbey’s College Garden was again the venue for LCCI’s annual summer party as key figures from across the capital’s business community came together to network and celebrate another year of success for London’s most vibrant business organisation.
City of Sport
The London Sports Festival was launched in May in Guildhall Yard with a sample of a diverse range of activities including archery to pickleball, bucket ball, table tennis, and dance and fitness classes.
Women Empowering Women
When women support each other, incredible things can happen. Nowhere was that more evident than at the 2025 Power of Women event, hosted by Dress for Success Greater London early this Spring.
Year of the Snake
Chinese New Year celebrations in London are reputed to be the largest outside Asia. There was certainly a vibrant and well attended procession around Trafalgar Square and Chinatown in February as revellers saw in the Year of the Snake and witnessed athletic and dramatic lion dance performances.
Mastering the Challenges of World Trade
DP World is a hugely successful global logistics company. Dubai-based, it specialises in cargo logistics, port terminal operations, maritime services and free trade zones (FTZ) – Jebel Ali, the company’s flagship site, is one of the world’s busiest ports and a potential model for London Gateway, the UK capital’s expanding logistics facility, also operated by DP World.
Promoting London in New York
Mayor Sadiq Khan packed a lot into his autumn visit to New York to promote London as a leading destination for business, tourism and sport.
