Ukraine Support

LCCI has been actively supporting Ukrainian refugees and SMEs in Ukraine for many months. We are working with the Cabinet Office, the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the International Chambers of Commerce to ensure that full support is provided to Ukrainian people and businesses.

How LCCI is supporting the Ukrainian Business Community

On Saturday 11 November, the streets of London were filled with music, entertainment and over 100 floats to welcome the 695th Lord Mayor of London. LCCI presented a vibrant Ukraine-themed float symbolising the unity between Kyiv and London, highlighting the ongoing support for Ukrainian refugees and Ukrainian SMEs. Lord Mayor's Show: London and Kyiv - Two Cities United

November 2023

LCCI proudly presented a Ukraine-themed float at the Lord Mayor's Show. The float symbolises London's unwavering support for Ukraine, sending a powerful message of solidarity to the international community. To design the float, we collaborated with Big City Lab and Bickerstaff, two prominent agencies from Kyiv, and enlisted the expertise of Opcyon Design Company from London for construction.

Ukrainian Jobs Fair

May 2023

Deputy Mayor of London for Business Rajesh Agrawal opened LCCI’s jobs fair for Ukrainian refugees at the Royal Horseguards hotel. 800 jobseekers and 35 employers attended the event to provide the support that refugees need. The jobs fair was organised in collaboration with the DWP, the GLA, City Hall and the Clermont Hotel group.

Networking Events for the Ukrainian Business Community

May 2023

The inaugural Ukraine networking event gathered significant interest, with more than 110 attendees registering their interest. The panellists shared their expertise on topics ranging from company registration in the UK, different types of businesses, taxation, and LCCI's ongoing Ukrainian Project.

We were proud to support the Department for Business and Trade ‘Road to Ukraine Recovery Conference 2023’. The conference created strong links between international financial institutions, the private sector and civil society in the UK and Ukraine.

How LCCI can support Ukrainians in London

Together with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), we have agreed on an action plan to help Ukrainian refugees find a job. We will transfer all received appeals through the DWP for processing at the Jobcentre Plus network. Those Ukrainian nationals who plan to relocate their business or establish a new one in London or across the UK will receive full support from LCCI and access to a range of business services, from networking events to bespoke advice.

Business Visits to Ukraine

London and Dubai Businesses Unite to Support Ukraine’s Road to Recovery

August 2023

In the run up to Ukraine’s Independence Day on 24 August, LCCI’s James Watkins and Igor Bartkiv visited Ukraine to meet with officials and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ukraine Business Council UAE in Kyiv. This agreement brings together the world’s two biggest financial centres – London and Dubai – to strengthen and support the Ukrainian economy.

London business delegation signs landmark agreement to help drive Ukraine's economic recovery

January 2023

A joint delegation between LCCI and The City of London Corporation visited Kyiv and Lviv in Ukraine, to engage with members of the Ukrainian Chambers of Commerce and to meet with key businesspeople and local businesses in the country. Whilst in Ukraine, the business delegation signed a landmark agreement to help drive Ukraine’s economic recovery.
