Working Together to Keep London's High Streets Safe

As part of our ongoing engagement with the Metropolitan Police to support London businesses and help ensure the capital's high streets can thrive, our CEO, Karim Fatehi OBE, and Aaron Walker, Head of Policy and Public Affairs, met with Antonia Stratford and Zeid Hussein from the Metropolitan Police to discuss the growing challenge of retail crime and the steps needed to keep London one of the world's safest and most attractive cities for business.

Persistent issues such as shoplifting, anti-social behaviour and the abuse of retail staff continue to undermine business confidence, particularly among SMEs, while also increasing costs for both businesses and customers. It is vital that businesses have confidence in the Met's ability to tackle crime, protect frontline staff and keep our high street's safe. We welcome the constructive discussion and look forward to continuing our engagement with the Metropolitan Police to support measures that help businesses operate and grow with confidence.
