LCCI react to 'furlough' extension

Thursday 5 November 2020.

Reacting to the Chancellor announcing an extension of the 'furlough' scheme until March, Richard Burge, Chief Executive of London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said:

“This is the right move by the Chancellor. The extension of furlough at 80% level is welcome news at a tough, and changeable, time for business.

With Covid-19 and potential economic impacts from leaving the EU, this support for both businesses and those self-employed provides a degree of increased certainty on which to plan through uncertain winter months.”
