LCCI responds to Sunday trading hours announcement

Chief Executive of London Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Colin Stanbridge, said: "Restrictive laws on Sunday opening hours have held back retail firms for far too long, so it is encouraging to see movement from the Government on this issue, which is felt particularly acutely in London, where tourists and out-of-towners expect to be able to shop on our streets 24-7.

"Additional shopping hours would help to bring in more revenue to the capital, in all likelihood increasing the number of jobs available."
